In 2020, the early stages of the pandemic was a challenging period for businesses as well as non-government organizations (NGOs). It was also a time where more and more individuals both in the residential and commercial areas went out of their way to show kind gestures to their neighbors and the community—pulling together to survive the negative impact of COVID. Through contributions from NGOs, private businesses, and the government, food and water were provided to individual citizens in most need. However, there wasn’t enough financial resources to support the many non-profit organizations that depend on the contributions of its community.
Because of these challenges, we were looking for ways to continue giving help to those with programs that help the community. When our Board of Director Anubha Arya heard of the difficulties a local non-profit environmental organization was facing, she took action. Having worked with Tarumitra on numerous occasions, Mrs. Arya is very familiar with their purpose and reached out to the to see how the Ramautar and Ajit Vatsayan Foundation could help.
Tarumitra and its commitment to an eco-friendly environment is an example of development at the local/root level of the country. They are committed to improving our environment through eco-friendly initiatives. Over the years, Tarumitra has found more effective ways of reducing pollution and carbon footprint in the environment. They do this by creating eco-friendly products, maintaining greenhouses and improving industrial processes so that the community grows to be more sustainable.
Our foundation was pleased to receive Tarumitra’s appreciation letter. To know that they now have regained operations of their greenhouse facility along with a more usable approach road for their own volunteers and visitors to reach safely, makes our efforts worthwhile. It’s always wonderful to hear that our contributions made a difference, and we hope to be able to do more in the future. As a non-profit organization aiming to improve the lives of our communities, we are resolute about our commitment to education, health, and the environment, and we strive to continue assisting projects that promote a safe, eco-friendly, sustainable environment for India
